Overview

Technical Lead for global technology infrastructure initiative to consolidate servers from multiple operating systems, 5 different email systems, and a multitude of applications into three major data centers (US, Europe, and Asia) by moving to a Geographical Domain Model on Microsoft Windows Servers, a single Microsoft Exchange Email environment, an Systems Management Server for desktop refresh, and many other related technologies. Current environment included 500 plus servers with multiple technologies that needed to be consolidated. Designed a multi Windows Domain environment with three major locations to host Exchange email services and three major data centers. Worked with Network Engineers to redesign Network topology to accommodate new environment, which included working with the networking group on Traffic/Bandwidth requirements. Designed and deployed global Systems Management Server infrastructure that included over 50 role servers dispersed globally. I was responsible for the design and management of server deployments to over 40 locations worldwide. I build a forecast model to cost out Servers and defined criteria for an office to maintain a server (Number of Servers Needed, Bandwidth Requirements, etc.) Part of the committee to define company-wide naming standards. I worked closely consulting Security Departments to assure and define server security policies and I helped define company-wide server and desktop policies. I also helped to deploy Internet Information Server, Crystal Reports, and SQL Server that allowed IT management to manage system log events and other data from many sources.
