Overview

I was hired to plan, design, build, and automate the global deployment of new standardized desktops to thousands of global users, which included the deployment 200+ applications utilizing Microsoft Systems Management Server technology. I worked closely with global IT departments to assess current desktop, server, and application environments that were deployed. Design included deployment of Microsoft Systems Management Server servers to 100 locations with standard image included on desktop hard drives to avoid congesting networks at the local level. Applications and user settings were installed when user first logged in. I also worked with Active Directory engineers to redesign domain controller deployment to maximize efficiencies that included redesigning global Active Directory OU/Domain structure. I documented design and desktop build process for future use. Designed Windows updates through management packs within Systems Management Server to provide software security updates to desktops and servers worldwide. Finally, I acted as advisor in providing guidance for upcoming Exchange rollout.
